The SeaGreen Project

The SeaGreen project is based on the premise that an Ecosystems-based Adaptation (EbA) approach provides a viable, cost-effective solution to the negative environmental and economic impacts brought about by small or large-scale sargassum strandings.

By harvesting fresh sargassum at bay + transforming it into an organic fertilizer compost for regenerative organic agriculture, we can sequester and store large amounts of carbon that help mitigate climate change, while at the same time sargassum by-products can be used to increase local agricultural yields + introduce circular economy practices locally.
